The app goes beyond just jailbroken devices, extending its support to unofficial versions for TrollStore by Nebula and Santander MacDirtyCow by haxi0.

Santander has ambitious plans for the future, aiming to deliver better iPad support with a sidebar that allows users to create groups and add paths for easy switching between them. It also promises enhanced sorting capabilities with six sorting methods and the ability to choose ascending or descending order. The app seeks to offer a more modern, efficient, and system-looking user interface by utilizing APIs for iOS 14 and above.

The newer versions of Santander File Manager for iOS 15 and iOS 16 present an extensive set of features that elevate the file management experience. Its built-in search engine enables precise queries with parameters such as path type, whether it's a symbolic link, directory, or file, and more. Additionally, the Path Information View provides users with valuable details for a clear overview.

The app takes file handling to the next level by supporting drag and drop functionalities. Moreover, it comes with an integrated Text Editor and Audio Player, allowing users to manipulate textual content or enjoy audio files directly within the file manager. The text editor offers customization options like font editing, font size adjustment, and background/text color settings. Recently, a developer named Mineek forked Santander for iOS and utilized the MacDirtyCow exploit to access the file system without jailbreaking. The updated version, named Santander MacDirtyCow, enables users to run the File Manager on iOS 16.2.1 and lower. This marks the second tool, after WDBFontOverwrite Font Changer for iOS, to use the Dirty Cow exploit (CVE-2022-46689). This development opens up possibilities for more applications and tweaks leveraging the recently discovered bug in the future.

For users seeking more advanced features, Filza File Manager 3.9 remains an option to install on jailed iOS 14 and iOS 15 devices when installed with TrollStore.
