Jailbreak for iOS 15
Fugu15 Max IPA

Understanding Fugu15 Max:

Fugu15 Max, also known as Dopamine, is a freshly developed jailbreak targeting all iOS devices operating on iOS 15 – iOS 15.4.1, including A12+ models. Developed by Lars Fröder, this jailbreak builds upon the original Fugu15 proof-of-concept introduced by Linus Henze.

What sets Fugu15 Max apart from its predecessor, Fugu15, is the integration of tweak injection support and enhanced exploit performance, although this feature is still under development. Fugu15 Max, with its user-friendly design, enables users to employ Sileo and install tweaks specifically designed for rootless jailbreaks.

Initially, Fugu15 Max was restricted to iOS 15.4 – iOS 15.4.1 as rebooting in the userspace on earlier versions could potentially trigger a Wi-Fi bug panic, even when Wi-Fi is turned off. This issue is also present in the Fugu15 jailbreak, causing freezing and restarts in versions 15.0 through 15.3.1. Recently, this bug was rectified, extending Fugu15 Max's support to iOS 15.0 – iOS 15.4.1.

Despite improvements in Fugu15 Max, Wi-Fi must still be disabled during the jailbreaking process for iOS 15.0 – iOS 15.3.1. However, a new commit allows users to reactivate Wi-Fi once the jailbreak is complete. With further maturity, Fugu15 Max will automate this process using the app's arbitrary entitlements.

At present, detailed information about the Fugu15 Max jailbreak is limited. The official GitHub page indicates Lars began modifying the Fugu15 source code in February, but further details are sparse. It is hoped that contributions from other developers could speed up development or potentially unlock more features. As it stands, Fugu15 Max operates on iOS 15.0 – iOS 15.4.1.

Default rootless repos featured in Fugu15 Max include Chariz, Havoc, Ellekit.space, and BigBoss. The jailbreak has also addressed memory leaks in jailbreakd and corrected SSH as mobile. The 'jbupdate' feature is another significant addition.

Other improvements include an updated launchd hook, with fallback ellekit properly implemented using rpaths, and the deletion of more XinaA15 leftover files during jailbreak for a cleaner installation. The Beta 5 release includes numerous stability improvements.

Fugu15 Max aims to emerge as a conventional jailbreak with tweak injection capabilities through the Ellekit tweak hooking library. While an official release date is yet to be declared, public release will trigger an article update.

Currently, Fugu15 Max's source code is available for compilation, but the lack of tweak injection support makes it impractical for end-users. Upon release, the jailbreak will be available as an IPA package, permanently installable with TrollStore
