What is Misaka?

Misaka is an iOS tweak manager for MacDirtyCow & KFD exploits, which facilitates iOS modifications without requiring a jailbreak. Though it doesn't encompass the extensive array of possibilities offered by a jailbreak, the alterations and features it allows for your device are quite impressive. Misaka supports all MDC-compatible devices, both jailbroken and non-jailbroken, running iOS 15 to iOS 15.7.1, and iOS 16.0 to iOS 16.1.2. Misaka KFD, on the other hand, supports A12-A16 (iPhone Xs โ€“ iPhone 14 Pro Max) devices on iOS 16.2 to iOS 16.5 & iOS 16.6b1.

Operating similarly to a conventional package manager with Cydia tweaks, Misaka allows you to add new repositories, check tweak descriptions, and install packages on your device without jailbreaking it. While MacDirtyCow tweaks might not provide the full potential of jailbreak tweaks, you'll be amazed at what's possible.

Misaka can be installed on your iPhone using TrollStore, or sideloaded with any IPA Installer that requires a computer or is capable of signing and installing IPA files directly on your iDevice. Upon installation, a new icon will appear on your Home Screen, providing access to the Misaka iOS tweak manager.

By default, Misaka comes with popular repositories containing tweaks compatible with all MacDirtyCow devices. Currently, almost 300 tweaks are available for installation on your device without the need for jailbreak. Misaka supports all devices operating on the mentioned iOS versions, including the latest iPhones, such as the iPhone 14 Max.

The array of available tweaks is vast. You can download tweaks to customize your Settings app's look, manage fonts, modify Lock Screen glyphs, change the model name, respring your device, personalize system apps, modify Control Center UI, enable NFC Reader, change Status Bar, disable unable to verify an app that was revoked, and more.

Developers distribute all tweaks in private repositories, ensuring controlled environments. Each tweak comes with a detailed description, offering users clarity about its features and installed version. An illustrative image displays the visual change the tweak offers. System requirements are also listed, enabling users to verify if their devices meet the specifications. Some tweaks are exclusively compatible with specific iOS versions, and may not install successfully on other firmware iterations.

Apart from allowing users to manage their tweaks, Misaka's iOS tweak manager also offers additional features. Notably, a news section keeps users abreast of the latest tweak releases and updates. This ensures that users are always informed about the newest features to enhance their iOS experience. The features tab showcases a list of the most popular packages, enabling users to discover and explore tweaks that don't require jailbreak.

Misaka is a great alternative for jailbreak enthusiasts whose devices aren't supported by any released jailbreaks so far, working with iOS 15 to iOS 16. Other tools for tweaking your iPhone, such as Cowabunga, StatusMagic, and WDB FontOverwrite, are also available.

From version Misaka 1.9.3, the tweak manager now incorporates two exploits for read and write access to system files. In the application Settings, you can choose between MDC and KFD jailbreak exploits. MDC supports all devices from iOS 15.0 to iOS 15.7.1 and iOS 16.0 to iOS 16.1.2, while KFD supports A12-A16 (iPhone Xs - iPhone 14 Pro Max) devices on iOS 16.2 to iOS 16.5 & iOS 16.6b1. MDC devices can only use MDC, and KFD devices can only use KFD
